Well it appears North Queensland may be in for their first Cyclone for the season.
It is a timely reminder for all home owners, not just those selling, to ensure you are adequately prepeared and insured for potential disasters like storms and fires.
Even if you have a contract on your home and the buyer is meant to have insurance cover over the risk property (your home) it still pays to keep up your policy until settlement has occured, otherwise you may find yourself with a damaged property, or worse, and having to chase a buyer through court to complete a contract on a home that doesn't exist.
